How to sell FiveM scripts: obfuscation, license checks and instant delivery
Skalp is a store for FiveM script and asset creators. You upload the resource, choose which Lua files to protect, and buyers download an obfuscated build with a license check built in. Your original files never leave your account.
What you can sell
ESX, QBCore and standalone scripts, MLOs, maps and vehicles. Each has its own category on the Skalp marketplace, so server owners browsing for a framework find you there as well as through your own store link.
How the protection works
- Upload the resource folder. Skalp checks for
fxmanifest.lua or __resource.lua and warns you if it is missing, since the resource would not start without one.
- Tick the Lua files to obfuscate. Protection is per file, so you can leave config files readable for buyers and lock the logic. Limits: 2,000 files, 10 MB per file, 100 MB in total.
- Skalp builds the protected version. It is obfuscated and ships with a loader and a license check. The buyer's copy runs only with a valid license from their order.
- Test it before you publish. Run the product on your own server exactly as a buyer gets it.
If a buyer refunds or loses a chargeback, the license stops passing the check. A leaked copy without a valid license does not start.
Delivery and updates
Buyers get the download the moment the payment lands, and it stays in their library. Discord roles can be assigned on purchase, so a buyer lands in your customer support channel without a manual step.
Payments and tax
Buyers pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or a local method, in their own language. Skalp is the merchant of record: VAT is collected for the buyer's country, the invoice comes from Skalp and chargebacks are handled by Skalp. You get paid out to your bank account. The fee is 10% per sale, 7% once you pass $20,000 in 30 days, with processing included.

Does obfuscation slow my script down?
Test it with the protected build on your own server before publishing. You choose which files get obfuscated, so hot paths can stay plain if needed.
Can buyers still edit the config?
Yes, if you leave the config file unticked at upload.
